About Us

Rural Space Architecture is a Stroud based, design-led studio, focusing on Residential Architecture and Interiors for private clients. The practice also works on a variety of listed properties such as barns for commercial use. The practice was established in 2023 by Charlie and Eva who oversee each project and work closely with a small team of trusted professional consultants.

We aim to provide a personalised design service that focuses on our Clients' individual needs and allows for a collaborative and joyful process informed by their aspirations, budget and timeframe. We are passionate about good quality design, working with the existing fabric of a building and evolving it to suit 21st-century needs.

Our Ethos

Ethos:

We have a passion for working with existing buildings and have experience in grade II, II* and grade I.

We also enjoy working with new builds where we try and apply the same principles such as respecting the history and context of the site, conserve any special features and be honest about alterations and new contemporary additions.

We chose to use natural materials, where possible, as a priority.

We see buildings holistically and as part of a wider surrounding landscape.

Building open and authentic relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and the wider community.
